Ramakant

Gaikwad

Born on May 13, 1988, Ramakant Gaikwad is an accomplished vocalist whose artistry bridges the Kirana and Patiala gharana traditions. Beginning his musical journey at the age of four and performing on stage by six, he has earned acclaim from audiences and connoisseurs alike for his refined gayaki, deep cultural grounding, and expressive renditions. His music reflects a unique blend of rigorous training, artistic lineage, and a natural gift for performance.

  • Initial Training - Under Pt. Suryakant Gaikwad, Sangita Gaikwad, and Dr. Satish Kaushik (Disciple of late Pt. Sadashivrao Jadhav, Kirana Gharana)

  • Advanced Tutelage - Under Padmashree Pt. Jagadish Prasad (Disciple of Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan)

  • Currently Learning under Pt. Nayan Ghosh – eminent tabla and sitar maestro
