KkalaKkirti is an initiative dedicated to placing the performing arts — music, dance, theatre, and movement — at the heart of 21st-century learning.
Founded under the creative direction of Kkala and envisioned by Padma Shri Kailash Kher, KkalaKkirti seeks to restore the role of the arts as an essential dimension of human development, not merely an extracurricular activity.

In today’s world, young learners are surrounded by information but often disconnected from expression. Education systems across the globe are recognizing the urgent need for creative thinking, emotional intelligence, cultural awareness, collaboration, and self-expression — skills deeply rooted in the performing arts.

Through our flagship framework — Cultural Literacy Through Art Appreciation (CLAP) — we integrate artistic thinking with mainstream schooling, ensuring that children not only learn about the arts, but learn through the arts. Our approach treats music, movement, and performance as foundational to intellectual, social, emotional, and cultural growth.
KkalaKkirti’s work extends from schools and universities to corporate environments and community spaces, creating multiple pathways for individuals to develop authentic confidence, creativity, communication, and leadership through the arts.

It is a language — a way of seeing, feeling, expressing, and understanding the world.
